I did pretty well on Project Simplify. Organized my closet, Z and the kids. I would never, ever admit infront of Z, but he’s right, the kids do have way too many clothes.
This week’s spot is papers. Ugh. I’m so tempted to give it a miss but I won’t. This is usually Z’s arena, but he doesn’t have time this week. Only a couple days to Monday and I haven’t even started yet.
Also, I made this frosting today. It sounds a bit like it’s too much work but except the bit where you have to wait for the flour/milk mix to cool, it’s a quick and not to mention, delicious process.
I messed up so many times – my flour mix was really thick. It wasn’t dropping off the spoon. And then, while creaming the butter and sugar – I worried that I’d beat it too much, so I didn’t beat it enough and then finally when I added the flour/milk mix, I almost beat it too much.
But after setting a few hours, it was JUST perfect. I literally licked the bowl clean. And it frosts really well too. I wish I’d crumb-coated the cake but I was in a bit of a hurry – pity, it would have frosted pretty perfectly I think!
As usual I remembered about pictures for this blog AFTER everything was done. Sigh.
