A hoary marmot?

Filed under: Random — by Mona S. @ 7:28 am

Indeed. The resort town of Whistler in British Columbia is named after a mammal called the hoary marmot.

They're also known as whistlers because of the high-pitched warning sounds they make in the face of danger.

They're actually kind of cute looking.
